2009 Majestic Mission Teams

CHAS BAILEY, Serbia, with Campus Crusade for Christ, September 2007-2009

Ministry: Chas will join a team of 7 other Campus Crusade for Christ members in Novi Sad. They will meet university students, learn the Serbian language, share their faith and disciple students, so they can transform their own nation.

JENNY HANKS, Dominican Republic, with Wheels For the World, March 14-22

MINISTRY: Delivering and fitting wheelchairs for needy individuals, giving the Gospel/Bibles/Christian literature through the contacts. The LORD provided Jenny's full support of $2500!
Jenny rejoices that individuals came to Christ, people were seated in wheelchairs, families and workers received Bibles!

CSU-P Campus Crusade for Christ, Mississippi Team, March 22-30

MINISTRY: Students from CSU-P and UCCS went to Pass Christian, Mississippi, to rebuild homes that suffered damage from "Katrina." David Airington and Chelsea Blum went from Majestic Baptist Church.

PASTOR TIM ENGLISH, Malasyia, April 27-May 12

MINISTRY: Teaching Vacation Bible School and Sunday School classes to Pastors and other church leaders, preaching in and encouraging local churches.

DAVID AIRINGTON, Galveston, TX, C4C Relief and God's Kitchen, May 11-June 19

MINISTRY: 1) Organize, transporting and supervising incoming short term teams, 2) working in the Kitchen preparing free meals for the needy of the community (many are migrant workers) and the short-term teams, 3) assisting on the community work projects, and 4) working on the ministry's vehicles and website.

REYNA ACOSTA Paraguay, with Athletes in Action, part of Campus Crusade for Christ, May 23-June 11

MINISTRY: Athletes in Action is working with the first lady of Paraguay to bring Christ to Paraguay. They will host free soccer clinics for local kids to learn more about soccer, as well as, share Jesus with them. The team will also travel to strategic cities to play pick-up games, serve the community and present the Gospel.

CHELSEA BLUM, Bailey, CO, CAMP Id-Ra-Ha-Je, May 23-June 11

MINISTRY: Camp ID-RA-HA-JE (I'd RAther HAve JEsus) is a well known Christian camp that has been reaching children and youth for Christ for over 50 years. This will be Chelsea's 2nd year to serve as a counselor. Contact Chelsea for more information at 970-393-0887 or at hotchillipepr87@aol.com .

YOUTH Team, Shoshoni and Riverton, Wyoming June 5-13

MINISTRY: Youth Pastor Jeremy Edwards and the MBC Youth team will assist the Shoshoni, WY, Baptist Church morning for Vacation Bible School and an afternoon Basketball Camp for the Riverton, WY.

YOUNG LIFE CAMPS, opportunities to serve throughout the summer

MINISTRY: To bring young people into relationship with the Lord in a camp setting.
*WyldLife Middle School Trip in Colorado (6/29-7/3); *Senior High Camp at Lost Canyon in Flagstaff, AZ (7/6-13);
*Young Lives Moms and Babies Camp at Lost Canyon (7/21-26); *Mexico Service Project (7/25-8/5); *Military Family Camps at Trail West in Buena Vista (5/26-31, 7/6-12, 8/10-16).

JUAREZ, Mexico Team, with Border2Border Missions, July 1-5

MINISTRY: 1) Build an 40' x 60' church addition (the Pastor's name is Tino), 2) host a morning VBS ministry with crafts, songs and games for children, 3) host an afternoon ministry for the women of the community, 4) host a daily medical education ministry, and 5) lead a Saturday evening church service with singing, testimonies and preaching.

LAKEN LAFKO: Sonora Mexico, with Sonlight Missions, July 18 - August 1

MINISTRY: Laken and a team of individuals from her previous church in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, they served in street, prison and orphanage evangelism, Vacation Bible School and food distribution. Contact Laken for more information at 547-9390 or egyptian.explorer@gmail.com

Backyard BBQ's, camping, fishing, golfing, inviting to church, etc. with your neighbors.
Teacher Appreciation for Swallows Charter Academy
Backyard BBQ week is June 21-27. Every Majestic family is encouraged to pick a time and invite neighbors to a BBQ or dessert or breakfast or game night, etc. We will be asking you to make a commitment with names, day and time so we can pray for each home hosting a neighborhood event.
Backyard Bible Clubs at your home, hosted by youth trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). Call Alicia Bailey for info, 547-8446.
July 27-31 Vacation Bible School. We need Teachers and Assistants, registration, snacks, set up and clean up, parking lot patrol, a Friday night picnic at Lovell Park, and prayer. Call Jeanne Feamster, 547-0545, or Tracy Bastian, 547-7533, for info.
August 8 PW School Supply Giveaway They collected school supplies for our VBS missions project and gave them away on the 8th
Late September - October- GRAND OPENING for our new Facility Invite friends, family and neigbors to our celebrations!
The 7PROJECT September 21-25, a city-wide church outreach to reach 15,000 students through character assemblies in 20 middle and high schools and a Friday evening rally where the character of faith will be discussed. Students will spend 7 weeks prior to and 7 weeks after the event being trained in evangelism, discipleship and floow up.
